About me
I'm a designer with a background in product design and a clear focus on interiors. Spaces fascinate me. They always have, it seems. How do people live? What does your home tell me about you? And what influence does your interior have on your well-being?
In 2008, I graduated with a degree in Product Design from the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Krefeld, specializing in textiles. Alongside my studies, I had the opportunity to work for a traditional German home textile company and an internationally active design studio.
Even at that time, it was clear to me that the path for me would be self-employment.
I want to work as a freelance designer. I want to work in diverse and cross-market areas. I enjoy the variety, the diversity of projects, and working with different clients towards a common goal.
Different target groups, different markets, different requirements – all of this fascinates me. Since then, I have dedicated myself with great pleasure to textile design for the home and living sector for many years, and over the past 17 years, I have had the privilege of working with many fantastic brands and bringing wonderful products to life with my designs.
Nevertheless, my heart has never been solely devoted to textile design. I have a great passion for designing living spaces—spaces where we live, sleep, celebrate, eat, socialize, or find peace and quiet alone. Textiles play a major role here, as do color, material, and form.
My design work combines two perspectives:
the people in the space and the requirements for economically viable products.
I am interested in how color, pattern and design can be used in a targeted way to create atmosphere –
and at the same time develop designs that are functional, reproducible and marketable.
My design studio has evolved from this perspective. Building on my experience in textile design, I increasingly work in product and interior design.
This development follows a logical consequence: to think about spaces and products more holistically and to locate design where it has both an emotional impact and makes economic sense.
I work conceptually, in a structured and practical way –
always with a focus on production processes, materials, serial production capability and target groups.
The goal is to develop interior products and design concepts that provide orientation, are durable, and create tangible added value for brands, manufacturers, and users. And they must be economically viable.
Design studio Pinoo stands for a design that creates atmosphere, takes people into account and naturally considers economic conditions.
